Klingner provided architecture, civil/site, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler design, as well as construction material testing for this 21,600 SF warehouse addition, cooler, and associated site work.
Services included a soil investigation, design of exterior paving, employee parking lot extension, storm sewer & storm water detention, grading plan, utility modifications and permitting. Klingner designers provided code investigation and existing plan, selective demolition plan, new floor plan, roof plan, building sections & elevations, room finish schedule, door schedule & details, wall sections & details, plans & details for recycling shed. Structural involvement required the evaluation of alternative structural options - such as clear span or multiple span, impact of multiple span option on product layout, foundation design, stem walls, structural slabs on grade, depressed loading dock, equipment supports and other structural components. For MEP design, staff evaluated alternative system options for maximum energy efficiency, plumbing plan/schedule/details, electrical service entry, power connection, lighting plans, and sprinkler plans. HVAC included innovative earth tube cooling system for warehouse.
