Friends of the Trails Raises over $350k

Cedar Creek Trail, Quincy’s first off road multi-use recreational trail, completed it’s first phase of development, however there is much more to be accomplished. The trail plan when completed, will run from Bonansigna Drive to 36th Street, creating about a 3 mile non-vehicular trail way for local residents and visitors. At this time, the trail only runs from 12th -18th Street. Friends of the Trails President and Klingner Civil/Site Development and Recreation Manager, Cullan Duke, was proud to announce that the Friends of the Trails organization, in less than 6 months (since November 2012), have already raised over $350,000 toward the next stage of the trail project! The Friends of the Trails has until December 31, 2014, to raise the $500,000. If the group is successful, the Quincy Park District has agreed to match that total. With that, the organization is accepting donations from designated donation levels, as well as a one-time gift of any denomination.
