Meet Nicole Lueth, the newest member of our Architecture / Structural Teams!

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Nicole: I grew up and live 25 minutes away from our Pella office in New Sharon, IA. My husband, Jacob, and I bought 3 1/2 acres of land right near the city limits where we plan to build our home in the next three years. I’m a recent graduate of Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids, IA), having earned an architectural technologies degree. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fantasy and spirituality books, playing video games, taking my family camping, and going on day hikes.

Q: Why did you decide to the join the Klingner team?

Nicole: I joined the Klingner team because of the support and encouraging nature that was shown in my first interview with my supervising leaders. They really made it known that, as a company, Klingner encourages us to keep learning and wants to see us succeed as people and not just for the company.

Q: Is there a project you’ve worked on thus far in your career that you’re proudest of?

Nicole: I’ve worked on a few different projects here so far, and I think I enjoy any project that I can build Revit families from shop drawings. I love the complexity of manipulating together the 2D shapes to create a 3D formed object. I have always enjoyed knowing how things work in projects and all of the details that put something together to make the finished product. Being a technician allows me to see the details of a wide-variety of systems. Working under both disciplines broadens that range even more.

Q: If you could pick up a skill instantly, what would it be?

Nicole: I would want to understand computer coding; I think it’s a beneficial skill for every day use and for the future that we’re working towards as a society. Technology is everything.

Q: What is one hobby that you’re great at, and what is one hobby that you’re not so great at, but love it anyway?

Nicole: I am really great at reading. My personal best is 11 books (totaling 3,134 pages) in 36 hours (1.45 pages / per minute). I love playing baseball and soccer, but I am not great at them regardless of how much I enjoy both sports.

Q: What do you enjoy most about the types of projects you work on?

Nicole: I really enjoy the wide-variety of projects and the expansive knowledge that comes with each of them. Nothing is ever quite the same and the details change for each project.
