Project Summary
Southeastern Community College (SCC) offers a variety of technical programs from their West Burlington campus. Klingner designed renovations of the college’s Auto Collision and Precision Machine Labs to help the college provide a state-of-the-art educational experience for their students.
New layouts were developed for the labs to enhance circulation. Local businesses and industry professionals were consulted during this process to account for all necessary machinery and align the labs with industry standards. This careful coordination ensured students have sufficient, safe workspaces within the labs.
Multiple updates were made to finishes, equipment, lighting, and plumbing for a clean environment. New eyewash stations and safety showers were installed for emergency use, and fire-rated windows were utilized.
