Project Summary
Klingner / Geotechnics provided construction staking and construction material testing services for an addition at Dot Foods.
Surveyors marked 715 locations for the contractor that identified where a controlled modulus column would be drilled. Elevations were recorded on the finished floor slab on a 10-foot grid.
Construction material testing services included moisture-density tests, gradations, and in-place density tests for the addition’s structural fill. Concrete tests were conducted continuously during placements that typically involved several hundred cubic yards per day. These tests included cylinder molding, slump, air content, temperature, and compressive strength tests. Floor flatness / levelness tests were conducted within hours of the slab placements attaining final set.
