Meet Trudy Laws, the newest member of our Administrative Team!
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself…
Trudy: I have been married to my husband, Steve, for almost 28 years. We have two daughters, Abbey and Hannah. Abbey was recently married this past New Year’s Day. She just completed her first year of optometry school and her husband is a geotechnical engineer in St. Charles, MO. Our daughter Hannah is a senior in college majoring in math and computer science.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
Trudy: I truly love being an administrative assistant. I enjoy interacting with all of my coworkers and our clients. I also really love working in spreadsheets!
Q: What piece of advice would you give someone choosing the same career?
Trudy: Great organization is the key and efficient communication is a must. I am very proud of my ability to multitask. In previous careers, I have always juggled multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Q: What is one thing you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
Trudy: I love spending time in my screened-in porch. I love to sit with a cup of coffee and my cat – as well as with my family. It’s a very peaceful place.
Q: What sports team to do you root for?
Trudy: My husband and I are pretty big Cardinals fans.
Q: Where is the last place you’ve traveled and what did you find interesting about it?
Trudy: Our last big trip was to Puerto Rico to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were able to take a water taxi to a deserted island and explore the rainforest. Old San Juan was also an interesting place to experience.
