Klingner & Associates provided architectural, structural and mechanical-electrical-plumbing Phase 1 services including preliminary construction cost estimates, conceptual design drawings, and renderings for the renovation and upgrade of the existing fraternity building in Macomb, Illinois.
Architectural services included floor plan options and preliminary construction costs for revised and enlarged toilet and shower rooms, new guest toilet and shower room, larger chapter room with internet service, revised formal dining and living room with gaming area, energy efficient replacement windows, determine demolition and replacement of north addition, consider option of tornado shelter area, and provide interior and exterior renderings of design options to upgrade the facility and blend the different phases of construction together to present a more cohesive design.
Klingner also provided a structural investigation and evaluation of the north addition, and recommendations as to its viability. mechanical-electrical-plumbing design services and preliminary construction cost estimates were also provided for installation of a fire sprinkler system with new water service, evaluation of options to replace existing heating system and add air conditioning with individual zone control and increased energy efficiency, updates to existing electrical and plumbing for renovation of bathrooms and spaces, installation of new addressable fire alarm system, and internet data wiring upgrade to provide access in all rooms.
