Project Summary
Klingner provided architectural and engineering services for the design / build of a new educational building for St. John’s Anglican Church alongside Heimer Construction. The facility was a poured concrete walk-out lower level with a pre-engineered shell on the first floor. Split and smooth-faced CMU was utilized to match the existing church. A low sloped Butler standing seam metal roof was used with behind parapet walls. The floor system included metal bar-joists, metal deck, and concrete topping.
Concept site and floor plans as well as exterior views (two roof options) were provided. Klingner’s team also prepared the application for the City of Quincy’s Use Ordinance for a Planned Development, stormwater calculations, and representation at the City of Quincy Site Plan Review meeting. Existing utilities and service sizes were reviewed for adequacy to handle the additional load or determine the need for upgrade. All existing utilities were field verified to determine location and to locate tie-in points.
