Niemann Foods, Inc: Harvest Market Convenience Store
The project consisted of design services for a new County Market Express at the northeast corner of 24th and Locust streets. A 4,000 SF convenience store was planned, along with a fuel canopy over four pump islands. Parking was designed in accordance with the City of Quincy requirements. The existing buildings were removed from the property including the existing convenience store and residential structure to the north. Modifications were required to the existing adjacent Pizza Hut parking lot, including reconstruction of the west end of the parking lot, island, relocation of the pole sign, relocation of a light standard, and landscaping.
Klingner provided civil site design of building, pavements, entrances, sidewalks, fuel canopy, underground storage tanks, and other site amenities.
Work included final site grading and drainage plan including contours, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, accessible parking stall provisions in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Illinois Accessibility Code, pavement marking layout, site utility plan, water service in accordance with City of Quincy requirements, storm sewers, sanitary sewer lateral connection to existing sewer, Natural Gas (by utility), Electric (by utility), Telephone and Cable (by utility), site drainage and storm water management as required by the City of Quincy.
The grading and drainage plan incorporated storm water pollution prevention plan prevention measures. Klingner also provided concrete and asphalt pavement design including jointing plan and details and a site lighting plan.
