Project Summary
Klingner partnered with BLDD to provide John Wood Community College (JWCC) with a renovation of their admissions office, where all students and prospective students first visit the College. From the project’s onset, JWCC staff wanted to make sure the space emphasized JWCC’s branding and mission. Klingner / BLDD design staff worked together to develop new finishes, furniture options, and signage.
Henricksen’s ERG International Raven lounge chairs — in a JWCC green called Maharam — create a relaxing atmosphere where students, staff, and visitors can converse. Equipped with USB ports, the chairs also have the capability of charging devices. The ERG International Cabana Round laminated side tables provide a natural element and coordinate with wall trim. To support students who need computer access to address financial aid or other pertinent application forms, counter and ADA accessible height bar tables were installed along the feature wall. The stools and chairs are ERG International Elliot in grey.
Mohawk Group’s Get Smart Collection is featured in several color ways to create the yellow and green pattern around the room’s perimeter in addition to the muted grey throughout the space.
Custom graphics were produced by Klingner in collaboration with JWCC.
