Project Summary

Klingner provided Phase I / II Engineering services for 1.7 miles of US 54 and IL 106 pavement resurfacing and ADA improvements in Pittsfield.

Phase I / II work included:

  • Route and Land Surveys
  • Establishing Existing Right-of-Way
  • Development of .tin file
  • Project Report
  • Final Roadway Plans
  • Right-of-Way Documents
  • QC / QA

Roadway improvements consisted of varying depths of milling and resurfacing based on existing structural integrity. ADA improvements were designed for 37 typical corners along the route, as well as 14 additional corners that required ramps leading up to the elevated sidewalk. Klingner researched every parcel within the project limits — 125 parcels total — and completed Right-of-Way acquisition documents for 26 of them. Additional design details included striping plans, signal upgrades, and storm sewer adjustments.
