Project Summary
First Bankers Trust Company, N. A., a subsidiary of First Bankers Trustshares, Inc., is a commercial bank employing approximately 200 full and part time associates primarily serving the communities of Quincy, Mendon, Carthage, Rushville, Macomb and Springfield, Illinois. They also have a market presence in adjacent counties in Illinois and Missouri. Klingner provided site development and landscape architecture services for their new banking facility at 12th and Broadway in Quincy, IL.
The facility included an office building with a satellite drive-up and ATM facility, off-street parking, a plaza and anchor feature on the southwest corner of the site, and utility relocations / connections. The plaza and monument sign were designed to commemorate the history of the bank at this location. The plaza side of the monument sign included a description of the bank’s history.
Services provided included a topographic survey, site development, landscape architecture, site lighting, a geotechnical investigation, and construction staking and testing.
