Fabius River Drainage District - Wetland Development & Levee Improvement

Klingner’s client, the Fabius River Drainage District, includes approximately 17 miles of levees and is home to agricultural, residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The District is located on Missouri side of the Mississippi River across from Quincy, Illinois and is traversed by U.S. Route 24, U.S. Route 61, and a railroad. Over the years, Klingner has provided a wide variety of services including 100-YR FEMA levee certification, levee improvements, streambank protection and stabilization, drainage ditch cleanouts, and wetland mitigation and design.

Project services included: hydraulic analysis, topographic surveys , earthwork calculations, coordination with USACE, development of cost estimates, Missouri Form E dredge permits, mussel surveys, sedimentation basin design, plan of reclamation amendment, right-of-way drawings, public meeting coordination, survey control, levee design, material testing, USACE / DNR Section 10/401/404 permitting, dredge produced water sampling, wetland delineation/mitigation, and project administration.
