We help you prioritize and phase those repairs to address the most important items first.”

Tax Credit & Grant Support

Historic preservation tax credits may be available on both the state and federal levels. These projects typically must comply with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation – requiring research into a building’s historical significance (Step 1), proposed changes (Step 2), and final project documentation (Step 3).

Every step of the way, Klingner’s architects will provide you with the documents, designs, and public bidding services you need to secure reimbursement for Qualified Rehabilitation Costs.

Klingner projects have utilized Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), State of Iowa Historic Preservation Tax Credits, Main Street Iowa Challenge Grants, the Illinois Local Facade Program, HABS / HAER Documentation, and Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credits, among others.
