Learn more about the newest Engineer to join the Klingner team: Steve Damm, PE (Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing).
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself…
Steve: I’m a 2002 graduate of Kansas State University with a BA in Architectural Engineering. I am a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigeration Air-Conditioning Engineers). I like participating in local running (5K) events, and I look forward to weekend hiking adventures with the family, golfing, running, and playing basketball. We follow the St. Louis Cardinals and everything Kansas State Wildcats.
Q: What brings you to the Klingner team?
Steve: It has been a family and career goal to move home to Quincy. I’m excited about the growth and opportunities ahead to contribute to Quincy and the surrounding communities.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the types of projects you work on?
Steve: I like visiting the job site and meeting with facilities / contractors during the design and construction of a project.
Q: What inspired you to become an engineer?
Steve: My brother-in-law inspired me to become an engineer. I did well in math and sciences, so when I found out about Kansas State’s unique Architectural Engineering program, I knew engineering was for me.
Q: When you’re working on a tough problem, what is your thinking “go-to”?
Steve: A brisk walk in the sun. Also, I try to have an apple and orange breaks during the day to keep me energized.
