Meet Ryan Bailey, the newest member of our Transportation Team!
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself…
Ryan: I grew up in Hannibal, where I currently live with my fiancé and daughter. I enjoy spending time with my family and I’m a big sports fanatic, with my favorite team being the Kansas City Chiefs.
Q: Why did you want to become an engineer?
Ryan: I’ve have been around construction my whole life and always wanted to know how things were designed and constructed.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the types of projects you work on?
Ryan: I really enjoy being on job sites and interacting with contractors to solve any issues, as quickly as possible.
Q: Why did you decide to join the Klingner team?
Ryan: When I came into the office to interview, I immediately found that everyone I spoke with was very helpful and down to earth. I enjoyed the atmosphere here from the beginning, and knew that I would be able to help and work well with the Klingner transportation team.
Q: If you could pick up a skill instantly, what would it be?
Ryan: I would love to be proficient in all of the various design software programs that are out there within this industry. I would also like to be able to help anyone if they had trouble or questions within any of the software programs.
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
Ryan: I’m great at throwing a football, and one hobby that I really love, but am not good at, is golf.
Q: What piece of advice would you give someone choosing the same career?
Ryan: I would say experience is crucial. There are many things that you learn beyond the books of your college courses. Learning everything you can about this industry will be so helpful, and it truly comes with time and experience. Be patient and listen to your experienced colleagues.
