Meet Julie Ciccarelli, a recent addition to our Administrative Team!

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Julie: I am a “refuge” from the State of California, as my husband and I relocated to this area to escape the high taxes and other things. When I’m not working, or when I’m not hunting for things to sell in my local antique booth, I’m tending to my flower gardens.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Klingner team?

Julie: During my interview, I enjoyed the relaxed vibe I got from the team.

Q: Where is the last place you’ve traveled and what did you find interesting about it?

Julie: When my husband and I moved from California to Iowa. We took our time driving through Wyoming and South Dakota, seeing the sights along the way. Devil’s Tower was just one of the many sights. Devil’s Tower was in the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, and you can walk all the way around it. It is much bigger than you would expect. In fact, there is a sign along the trail that states, “You are half-way around”. It’s the cruelest sign you could ever imagine to see.

Q: What is your favorite family recipe?

Julie: My maternal grandparents both came from the Toledo, OH, area. Every Christmas, my grandmother made Tomato Pudding. It is a sweet tomato-based bread pudding that goes perfect with roast beef.

Q: What’s the tallest building you’ve been to the top in?

Julie: John Hancock Center in Chicago. Although I worked three blocks away from the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) for years, but never actually took the time to go up to the top.

Q: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Julie: I am an introvert that always had jobs that required me to be an extrovert. I’m usually the first person a client meets or speaks to on the phone. In the past, I’ve been the person to interact with everyone in a positive, outgoing manner. But in reality, I’d much rather be in the background or at home on my couch.
