Meet Jackson Lundberg, a recent addition to our MEP Engineering Team!

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Jackson: I live with my family in Palmyra, MO. My family runs a farm service company that provides seed, chemical, and other miscellaneous products to farmers around the area. I recently graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in May with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering.

Q: Why did you want to become an Engineer?

Jackson: Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been gifted with a high aptitude for mathematics. I have also been known as a person that tinkers with things and takes things apart just to see how they operate. This led me to a lot of early conversations with my family about what I wanted to focus on as a career. I landed on becoming an engineer very early and that vision has come to fruition.

Q: What piece of advice would you give someone choosing the same career?

Jackson: I would encourage people choosing this career to improve their social skills. You’re never doing yourself a disservice by speaking with people and forming connections. Sometimes the connections you form will help lead you to success in the future.

Q: If you could pick up a skill instantly, what would it be?

Jackson: If I could become a scratch golfer overnight, it would save me a lot of stress and frustration.

Q: What is your karaoke “go-to” song?

Jackson: “Mr. Brightside”, by The Killers.

Q: If you could visit any place in the world, what would it be?

Jackson: I’m going kind of general with this, but I would say my bucket list includes most of the northern coast of the Mediterranean. I would really like to visit Spain, the French Riviera, Italy, Greece, Istanbul, and even to a lesser extent, the coastal Balkan countries. I say all of these places because of the combination of history, picturesque views, and architectural and engineering marvels that are associated within these areas.
