Meet David Shoemaker, the newest member of our Geotechnical / CMT Team!
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself…
David: I attended the University of Northwestern Saint Paul, where I earned my engineering degree. I played soccer all through my time in college.
Q: Why did you want to become an engineer?
David: I grew up in a house that was very supportive of chasing dreams; allowing and encouraging me to build and repair all sorts of things. This encouragement easily developed my interest in the curiosity of how things work, and introduced me to engineering elements, at a very young age.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the types of projects you work on?
David: I believe that geotechnical engineering will allow me to identify problems and implement unique solutions for our clients.
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
David: I enjoy wood working in my free time.
Q: If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
David: If I were a super hero, I would like to manipulate the passage of time. That would give me the ability to have as much time as possible, allowing me enough time for everything I would want to do.
Q: Why did you decide to join the Klingner team?
David: I had a positive internship experience and really enjoyed working with the people that I met. I also really like the types of projects that Klingner takes on and the multidisciplinary approach that is utilized in almost every project we take on.
