This program came to fruition when a retired employee informed Klingner leadership that they intended to make a donation of $10,000 to the Quincy Children’s Museum. The retiree had one request: that the contribution be made in the name of all Klingner employees. Klingner leadership saw this as an opportunity to create an annual relationship-building donation campaign across all eight offices. Klingner would also match the $10,000 and pledge to match up to $10,000 in future years. This brought Klingner Cares to life.
From May 1st through August 31st, all Klingner employees will earn points by donating financially to the Quincy Children’s Museum, volunteering their time to a local nonprofit of their choice, and posting about the initiative on social media. For a more engaging and fun approach, each employee is placed on one of eight teams (Legacy, Innovation, Discovery, Synergy, Blueprint, Impact, Vision, or Cornerstone) which feature a variety of members across regional offices, departments, and roles. These teams will compete against each other to earn the most points with the winning team being announced this fall.
The Quincy Children’s Museum will be the recipient of all donations for Klingner Cares 2025, as directed by the anonymous donor. Founded in 2020, the Quincy Children’s Museum has temporarily resided on Quincy, Illinois’ town square. With plans for a permanent home, the organization is actively fundraising to make their dream a reality. They strive to be an inclusive space for children of all ages and abilities, providing rich educational, cultural, and family benefits to the Quincy area.

Klingner employees are also encouraged to spend time volunteering for nonprofit organizations in their communities. Employees are welcome to devote this time to any IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization they choose; in return, Klingner will make a financial contribution to the Quincy Children’s Museum.
Employees at Klingner see the importance of being actively involved in local organizations. With connections to over 350 nonprofit organizations, our staff’s commitment to supporting others mirrors the core of Klingner’s mission to “benefit the communities we serve.”
One of the easiest ways for our teams to earn points is by posting on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn with the hashtag #KlingnerCares. From a selfie showing an employee volunteering to a post spreading awareness about an organization’s significance, everyone can get involved in sharing a good cause with their friends and followers.
It is our hope that #KlingnerCares will increase public awareness of each featured local nonprofit and encourage others to support causes about which they deeply care.
Nonprofit organizations are at the heart of our communities. These organizations understand the needs of the people they help and do everything in their power to make a difference. Klingner Cares was created with the intention of extending support, gratitude, and visibility to organizations like the Quincy Children’s Museum and other nonprofits helping to define what it means to put others first. We look forward to seeing the competitive enthusiasm of our teams as well as the positive impact that we can make together.
