Stephanie Brakeville, NCARB, has been selected as Klingner’s next Architectural Department Manager. As Department Manager, she will continue to develop the talent and technical expertise of the Architectural staff firmwide.

Brakeville joined Klingner in 2015. During her tenure, she has provided designs for projects across Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. With 10 years of experience, Brakeville’s technical focus spans everything from site assessments to concept sketching and complete design. She enjoys projects that balance architectural heritage with contemporary functionality, driving successful outcomes for communities throughout the region by leveraging her specialized knowledge in adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and preservation planning. Skilled in multiple architectural styles, a few of her notable, contemporary projects include the Fairfield Fire Station, Burlington Salvation Army, and several Southeastern Community College projects.

“I’m looking forward to supporting our talented staff as they strive to create excellent designs and quality projects for our clients,” Brakeville says. “I’m excited to put my organizational skills to good use in this role.”

Brakeville is licensed in Iowa, Illinois, and Kansas; is Chair-Elect of the Burlington, Iowa, Downtown Partners Board; and holds a bachelor of architecture with a minor in sustainability and an emphasis in historic preservation from Iowa State University.
