Trevor Rogers, EI, has been awarded the American Public Works Association – Illinois (APWA-IL) 2023 Professional Manager of the Year Award.
The honor recognizes the outstanding achievements of those who primarily manage public works engineering and / or technology-related projects. Recipients demonstrate leadership, apply new and innovative ideas and technology, are dedicated to quality service, promote a positive image of engineering within the community, and support sustainable design. The award was presented to Rogers by Mark Lee, PE, APWA-IL Chapter President and Regional Manager of Klingner’s Galesburg office.
“I have worked with Trevor for over five years,” said Klingner’s Carbondale Regional Office Manager, Sean Henry, PE. “He is a great upcoming engineer. His dedication to our clients, desire to achieve, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed is much appreciated; he is a valued member of our team and has a bright future ahead of him.”
Rogers specializes in municipal work, providing site design, permitting assistance, and / or resident engineering for streets, sewers, watermains, facilities, and more. He has also completed multiple certifications with the Illinois Department of Transportation to support construction observation.
“This award is a great honor,” said Rogers. “I will continue to further my career development to provide clients with the best design.”
Rogers holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering with an environmental specialization from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and is a registered engineer intern in Illinois.
The APWA-IL Awards annually recognize individuals, groups, and organizations for outstanding public works contributions. Professional Manager of the Year Awards accept nominees in nine different categories: Administrative Management, Engineering and Technology, Facilities and Grounds, Public Fleet, Public Rights-of-Way, Public Works Emergency Management, Solid Waste, Transportation, and Water Resources. Rogers was the sole recipient of a 2023 Professional Manager of the Year Award.
