Cody Basham, AIA, CSI, NCARB, LEED GA, has been named Klingner’s Galesburg Regional Manager. In addition to supervising Galesburg staff, Basham will be responsible for coordinating office operations, projects, and goals.
Basham has been with Klingner since 2014. During his tenure, he has served as project manager and lead architect for numerous new and renovated educational, historic preservation, and commercial renovation projects. In 2024, Basham received the Public Works Project of the Year 2024 Award for the Hawthorne Pool renovation in Galesburg, IL, from the American Public Works Association Illinois Chapter. Basham’s recent projects include the design of the Hedding Grade School cafenasium addition and Avon Middle School renovation for Abingdon-Avon CUSD; the new Soangetaha Country Club clubhouse; and projects for Knox College, Knox County, and Henry County, among others.
“I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Galesburg office,” Basham says. “I look to build upon the success of this office moving forward and put my own style in the mix.”
As a Galesburg native, Basham is involved in multiple community organizations. He is a member of the Galesburg Kiwanis Club, where he volunteers for fundraiser events, and the Galesburg Code Review Commission, where he serves as a volunteer architect. He is also a t-ball coach and serves on the Board of Directors for the Warren Achievement Board.
Basham belongs to the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, and Texas, and he holds a bachelor of science in architectural studies and a master of architecture from Southern Illinois University.
