Assessing Your Site

Determine your property’s ownership and usage history with Klingner’s team of environmental professionals. Our Phase I Environmental Site Assessment work – completed per the ASTM International Standards – includes review of site documents, historical sources, environmental cleanup liens against the property, records of known hazardous substances, and a survey to record possible indications of contamination. We also offer Phase II testing services and Phase III remediation designs. No matter the assessment, Klingner has the same goal: to protect human health and the environment.

Understanding Wetland Requirements

Wetlands are protected under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Activities in these areas – such as placement of fill material or construction – require a permit through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). That’s why it’s critical to perform a wetland delineation when wetlands may be involved. Klingner’s trained environmental specialists visit sites to assess vegetation, soils, and hydrology – ultimately producing reports marking wetland boundaries for USACE and other governmental agency reviews. All work is done according to the USACE 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual.
