Bill Klingner Trail

As of July 10, 2013, the Quincy bike/walking trail known as Cedar Creek Trail, was voted to be renamed the “Bill Klingner Trail”. The trail was named in honor of Mr. Klingner as he was the former Quincy Park District engineer and the original developer of the Cedar Creek Trail plan. The Park District has already made plans to extend the trail from 12th to 5th streets. The first phase of the trail project opened in summer 2009; an asphalt-covered trail near Bob Mays Park at 18th and Koch’s Lane. The path is a mile long and stretches between 12th and 18th streets. A dedication ceremony is planned for the renamed trail on July 27th at 10am.
