The 2013 Snake Alley Art Fair, was held Sunday, June 16th in Burlington, IA and was organized by the Art Guild of Burlington. Each year the Fair is held on the streets of Burlington’s Heritage Hill Historic District; including Snake Alley – the crookedest street in the world. Over 100 artist booths, strolling musicians, children’s activities, food and drink vendors helped make the event a success. Approximately 10,000 people stroll the Art Fair each year. This year, Metzger Johnson Architects in Burlington donated their time and talent at the “Chalkers and Talkers” event. Participants raised over $200 for Burlington’s Downtown Partners, Inc. In addition to their artistic talents, they handed out “scavenger hunt” postcards, promoting architectural details of downtown Burlington. Architects from Metzger Johnson that participated included: Cindy Larson, Mark Fisher, Dave Metzger and Chuck Ytzen, as well as Metzger Johnson summer intern, Stephanie Waples. Congrats team!
