The process of being removed from the floodplain and the flood insurance requirements can be cumbersome. The Water Resources Department has performed numerous LOMRs/LOMAs/CLOMRs/CLOMAs and can perform the necessary paperwork and studies obligatory for these FEMA map modifications. Through the advancements made in data now available we are able to more effectively model flood prone areas and more accurately predict areas of potential remapping/zoning.
