Example Case Study 1
A contractor submit a bid on a job that was too large for his equipment and operator resources according to traditional construction practices. The contractor purchased a GPS system for his equipment, saving himself time and money. The design engineer had a site development plan available in CAD format.
Klingner & Associates was able to convert the available CAD files into a usable DTM for the contractor's GPS system. The contractor was awarded the job and completed the project on schedule. Our survey crew provided spot checks at the site and the contractor had surface grade error less than 0.1 foot. (Results dependent on site plans, site control and available satellite configuration).
Example Case Study 2
A contractor had four separate projects with tight schedules. He had determined to purchase GPS equipment to better utilize their heavy equipment and operators. Within three days of receiving the digital CAD files with project drawings, Klingner & Associates provided necessary machine control files. At that point, the contractor was able to manage all four sites efficiently, and their operators were able to use the new site data sucessfully in their systems.
