Phase III Assessments

Return to ESAs — PHASE I — PHASE II

PHASE III, the Site Remediation Plan, consists of evaluating environmental conditions found in the Phase II Assessment and prepare a corrective action response. The plan may include development of cleanup levels and procedures, engineered site controls, and future land use restrictions to protect human health and the environment. Corrective action may include involvement in a voluntary cleanup program such as Illinois "Brownfield Program" which utilizes a risk based approach to site remediation, while providing cost-effective measures and a release from liability provision for the Owner.
