Project Summary
Klingner provided design services to the Adams County Highway Department for the replacement of an existing 10-span timber bridge over the BNSF railway. The project was federally funded. Klingner also provided Phase II needs by preparing final plans, specifications, and estimates for the replacement 190’ 3-span composite beam bridge over a BNSF Railway. A unique feature of the structure is the incorporated galvanized steel beams. Klingner worked with the BNSF railway to meet their concerns and provide room for future track expansion.
In addition to the design of the structure, Klingner obtained the soil borings; prepared the soils report; prepared ROW plats; and provided plan preparation, traffic management analysis, opinions of probable cost, and all other work relating for categorical exclusion.
