About Klingner & Associates, PC

In 1936, William H. Klingner joined the engineering firm of Bushnell and McCann, which was founded in 1905 by Webster P. Bushnell in Quincy, Illinois. In 1949, the firm became W. H. Klingner and Associates.

Incorporated in 1985 as Klingner & Associates, P.C., the firm offers a wide range of professional services including civil engineering, environmental engineering and structural engineering, as well as architecture, planning, and land surveying and geotechnical services. These services are provided to meet the needs of individuals, industrial and commercial businesses, municipalities, and governmental agencies. To assist clientele in the Northeast Missouri region, the firm established a branch office in Hannibal, Missouri. In July of 2004, Klingner & Associates, P.C. announced its merger and expansion into Iowa and northwest Illinois through a reorganization with Metzger Johnson Architects and Geotechnics, Inc, which have offices in Galesburg and Burlington, Iowa. The merged firms retained their names, but officially are divisions of Klingner & Associates, P.C.

In January 2005, Hannibal Testing Laboratories, Inc. of Hannibal, Missouri became Geotechnics, a division of Klingner & Associates, P.C. Geotechnics offers a wide range of geotechnical engineering services, construction materials testing, construction observation services and has laboratory services in all four locations.

The staff of Klingner & Associates, P.C. includes professionals licensed as professional engineers, structural engineers, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, soil scientists, geologists, asbestos inspectors, geographic information system specialists, and land surveyors, who are qualified and experienced in a wide range of design and construction services.

Projects designed by the firm have received awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers, Consulting Engineers Council of Illinois, American Consulting Engineers Council, Structural Engineer's Association of Illinois, Illinois Capital Development Board, Iowa Main Street, Steel Plate Fabricators Association and State, Regional and National Environmental Protection Agencies.
